We're All In This Together

We have all heard the expression lately “We’re all in the same boat together”. Well this time the name of the boat is “Planet Earth”. As the sailors on the old sailing ships we could see a storm coming but we did not realize it would be the equivalent of a hurricane and tsunami hitting our ship at the same time. We have taken the hit but because of the crew onboard “Planet Earth” we will make it through this storm. The brilliant scientist, medical professionals and first responders are working tirelessly to find solutions and assist those in need. The workers in all of those “essential businesses” who continue to work to provide us with basics of life. The teachers and students who are finding new ways to teach and learn. The manufactures creating the vital products needed and the truck drivers moving those products. The entertainers and artists who are providing free access to their talents to help keep us all sane. There are thousands and thousands of people doing everything they can to help. There are even those of us who can assist by simply staying home so we don’t risk catching or spreading this virus further. And that is where we at Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters are right now. We are in fun business of showing off our beautiful city and Biscayne Bay to all of the hundreds of thousands of people who visit Miami every year and the local residents who love to see their own city from the water. Miami is virtually empty of visitors right now and the residents are under “Stay at Home” orders. We will come out the other side of this storm that Planet Earth is experiencing but it will take some time. We hope you will all have a chance to join us on one of our many “boats” for food, drinks, entertainment and beautiful views when the storm has passed.

Transportation for Miami Events this February

The Miami International Boat Show is back in town and is just one of the awesome Miami Events this February! Known for being one of the largest and most influential boat shows in the world, it plays host to approximately 100,000 attendees every year! Taking place at the Miami Marine Stadium in Virginia Key, it’s the perfect spot for test driving that boat you’ve been thinking about getting. Vendors from top-selling brands will be there in droves to make sure you won’t have to go anywhere else for all your boating needs!

Plan Your Boat Show Travel

The easiest way to get to the island while avoiding traffic is through the water taxi service that Island Queen Cruises will be providing through the show, from the 13^th to the 17^th. Their fleet will be running services to and from key areas such as the American Airlines Arena, Bayfront Park, and Dinner Key Marina. The Miami Yacht Show at the Sea Isle Marina will also be added as one of the key spots for the Water Taxi service, ensuring a seamless experience between events and providing ease of access to both. Take the scenic route and relax with some drinks as you admire the Miami skyline on your way to and from the boat show. Coconut Grove Arts Festival

Founded in 1963 by Charlie Cinnamon, The Coconut Grove Arts Festival started as a way to promote a Coconut Grove Playhouse production. Since its inception, it has become a three-day event taking place this year from the 15^th through the 17^thalong McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive and Pan American Drive in Coconut Grove that attracts approximately 120,000 visitors who come to enjoy the works of about 360 artists as well as music, food, and other family-friendly activities and attractions. Monty Trainer, the famed original owner of Monty’s Raw Bar and President of the festival, was chosen to head the event. And with a colorful history that includes a brief stint in the Pensacola penitentiary in the 80s after opening Monty’s Raw Bar in 1969, it’s easy to see why Mr. Coconut Grove, an apt nickname, is the best choice for the occasion. Stop by Bayfront Park for Super Bowl LIVE! A week-long fan fest that’s free of charge to guests of all ages. The festival will have a Huddle Down Community Stage, Road to the 11th, Tailgate Town, a culinary stage, water shows, evening parades, fireworks and so much more! Once you’ve had your fill of football fun, head on over to Bayside Marketplace right next door and join Island Queen Cruises for their famous Millionaire’s Row Tour! The Super Bowl Experience will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center on the 25^th, 26^th, and the 29^th through the 1^st. Super Bowl Experience will be the most exciting event surrounding Super Bowl LIV – pro football's interactive theme park will be offering participatory games, merchandise, and autograph sessions with NFL players. There will also be personalized digital photos, a 40-yard dash and vertical jump against NFL players on LED screens, a virtual reality experience, and photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy!

Super Bowl Kick Off

Over at Marlins Park, the national kick off for Super Bowl LIV festivities known as Super Bowl Opening Night will be held on the 27th. Be a part of the action as the Super Bowl players and coaches partake in a live press conference! Super Bowl Opening Night is the first place that Super Bowl players and coaches from both teams will interact with media before the Super Bowl, and the only time the two teams will be together before the big game! Speaking of big games, next year Miami will play host to the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship game. Like the Super Bowl, it will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium and is sure to be a popular and much anticipated sporting event. The Boat Show in Miami, Florida | Miami Boat Show 2020

Miami Boat Show: The place to be with the entire country in the COLD. The Miami Boat Show first started in 1941. What started as a small show of 50 boats under one tent is now recognized as one of the largest boat shows in the world. With more than 1,200 new boats on display, including newest boating technologies, gear, accessories and more than 100,000 people traveling from around the world, the Miami Boat Show is projected to bring 800+million of revenue to South Florida. It's where 1,000 marine businesses — hundreds of which have operations in South Florida — are expected to ink $60 million in deals, according to organizers. Being that the Boat Show is located on Rickenbacker Causeway with one road in and out of the show means traveling to and from the show would be a planned affair. Getting to the Miami Boat Show has become easier using water transportation such as Water Taxi. A south Florida company, Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters, has been providing convenient and reliable Water Taxi between 8 AM – 7 PM during the Miami Boat Show which offers transportation for 60,000 attendees. Additional show enhancements include more onsite restaurants and grab-and-go items from food and beverage provider Great Performances; more restrooms including new custom-made restroom trailers; and ticketing improvements including the addition of separate entryways for exhibitors and attendees to help make entry into the show more efficient. Show highlights for 2019 included the new Costa Conservation Village as part of several site-wide initiatives introduced to enhance and encourage conservation. The Miami Boat Show also partnered with Costa’s Kick Plastic program to continue to reduce the use of plastic onsite. As part of the effort, filtered watered stations were offered at key points around the show, and Costa reusable water containers were offered for sale at the show. Attendees embraced the program, and it’s estimated the equivalent of 83,500 single-use plastic water bottles were dispensed into reusable containers during the five-day show.
